Sample Press Releases For The Internet

Q:I have a fairly successful business, but I'm looking to get more media attention. Does anyone know if there are sample press releases on the net? and where do you find them?

A:Three questions you might ask yourself before launching your promotional campaign: 1. Who (your ideal prospects) do you want to make aware of your services (value adding expertise)? 2. What kind of mutually beneficial (to your prospects and to the publisher of the target media) material (useful information, interesting stories, secrets, industry models, etc.) can you provide the media? Once you figure out the characteristics of the information of interest to the publisher/ decision maker of your target media, you should be able to appear on a regular basis in front of the audience of the publication (or other forum). 3. What resources (your time, budget for promotional work, etc.) are you willing to invest to build up awareness within your target industry? Once you have worked out the answers, you should be in very good shape to develop a working strategy for achieving your promotional objectives. Keep in mind promotional work requires patience, tenacity, flexibility and a long term perspective. Expect to see results within a much longer timeframe (weeks and months versus days). As for the how, visit your local bookstore (business section) or search amazon.com (or your favorite on-line bookstore) for a list of publications on the topic.
