Locating The Target Market

Q:Does anyone have or know of any resources (newsletters, groups, etc.) that target the upper-end of "small business" to mid-size businesses? The products I will offer are focused on increasing productivity, decreasing operational errors (e.g. late shipments), improving processes etc. Any suggestions?

A:I am turning to all of you marketing gurus out there to see if you can help me. I have done a lot of research trying to find places where my target market "hang out", such as newsletters with good circulations that are targeted to my market where I could submit an article, offer a free report, place an ad etc. But I have not had much luck. I know of the established resources such as entrepreneur.com etc., but I need to locate those less established to keep costs down. One thing that you could do is talk to a few of your target market to see what they have to say about what they read. This group is definitely good for that but you might also want to talk to some of your contacts, the friendly accountant down the hall, etc.
