Business Web Site Graphics Critiuques

Q:I'd appreciate any critiques of my website, including ease of use, graphics, and closing of the deal. The only thing I can't/won't change is the price of my product. It's working but I'm not even getting 1% of my traffic to buy. I need help. But I just can't see what's wrong.

A:1. Lose the huge picture http://members.aol.com/devinesbrownies/tessframe.jpg 2. Get a real domain name: members.aol.com screams amateur 3. Don't use frames 4. View your site at 800x600 5. Stop using PayPal, get a real secure web site and merchant account or some offline processing like ProPay.com 6. You need separate images for each product At the moment your website is amateurish, as you are susposed to be in business, you need to present a professional image. People are more likely to trust you and to place orders, etc., if you have a website that appears professional. You will be amazed at how much business can be generated from the Internet. All you need do is get the foundations of your Internet presence right. You can always build on it later once it starts to pay for itself. *I will remain with PayPal. PayPal use to be a deal breaker, requiring all who wished to make a PayPal purchase to "join" PayPal. This involved a process that potentially could take more than a week. If you have not made a payment via PayPal recently, you may not be aware that the process is no more difficult than making any other credit card purchase. It is owned by Ebay so that says two things: that it is, and it will continue to be, associated with online auctions and small business owners and startups (like me), and that Ebay is a corporation that has an earning power and a reputation that is difficult to dispute. Additionally, I have better rates than any other merchant service agreement I have researched. Check out PayPal. I think you may be surprised. *My prices won't change. If you feel that brownies are only "cake", then it's safe to say you are not a "brownie" person. It's a niche market and there are folks out there that are passionate about them. These are my customers. *The copy is unlikely to change, Unless I'm given specific reasons why the copy doesn't work, I'm sticking with it. I think it's important to know that I'm interested in growing my business, not starting it. It has already begun. I have customers and wish to have more. I want to represent myself honestly to everyone who visits my site and orders my brownies. This is not a huge corporation, I am an artisan who will bake rich, chewy, fudgy, stick to your ribs, mouthgasm brownies made with the best brownie recipe that includes the finest ingredients which you can not get any where else in the world!
