Q:I need to prepare simple business plan. I am new to this, can somebody direct me on how to prepare, and what are the keypoints I have to highlight?
A:Google for your state and "small business development" and "small business assistance". This should lead you to your state's version of the "Small Business Development Center", where you can get many different kinds of assistance in launching a new business, including developing a business plan. They should be able to help you outline, and complete a business plan that will not only serve you as a guide in the first years of operation, but also as a possible means to funding. Check out http://www.Network2020.com/go Click on the Start A Business Button and you'll find business plan information under Start A Business Articles, Answers from the Masters and in the FAQ. Business plans are real easy to do. I'm sure you have a ton of ideas for your business. All you need is a framework to organize, refine, and expand on your ideas. Get any book on business plans from the library or off the net and look for their example of what a plan's Table of Contents should look like. Type that into a word document and start tossing your business ideas into the appropriate sections. SCORE - The Service Corps of Retired Executives have a great section of their website called the small business toolbox. They also have a very nice sample business plan with tools that can help you write it... The address is: http://www.score.org/business_toolbox.html for the toolbox. and http://www.score.org/template_gallery.html for the business plans. |
