Q:Does anyone have any experience with, or advice for, targeting corporate marketing executives online? My services fill a need in corporate marketing departments, but I haven't found a good way of reaching them online. I can market to small businesses all day long on the web, but the corporate guys use the web in a different way (if at all).
A:My opinion when working with "executives" who already get too much email, is to send my letter using one of the cheper, but good, Internet to Fax gateways. I use Faxaway.com, net2fax.com, and Jfax.com to send faxes, often at a fraction of what you may usually pay. Also, a fax letter, when PERSONALIZED, will get greater readership and subsequent impact. I DO NOT suggest you "spam fax" people without having a GOOD RESEARCH FILE, showing you are not just "bulking out faxes", but to use this concept by TARGETING people with whom you may ally to create ventures that could multiply your effort exponentially. In any event, fax, direct (first class mail) will get you to these guys 1001 times more effective and with greater impact. I say "Amen!" to the message by Mike Enlow! In today's busy corporate environment, not sending something SPECIFICALLY targetted to a person's need or attention can be quite costly. You might try targeting a specific company or individual that you wish to work with...do a little research, find out what the hot buttons are, and send a package that gives a solution to the person's problem, after first, grabbing their attention with a special fax or letter that makes it almost impossible to ignore you. |
