International Business College, or IBC for short, is located in Indianapolis with offshoots in Fort Wayne, El Paso and other cities. The accredited college was founded in 1889 and offers a wide variety of classes within the business realm. As the name implies, IBC specializes in business education and management. IBC offers business classes in the majors of accounting, administration, paralegal, retail and travel and hospitality. Each major offers different degrees that can be completed within a relatively short time period. For example, in the paralegal program, a student can feasibly graduate in two and a half years with a bachelor's degree or 16 months with an associate degree.
Technology and health care programs are also part of International Business College's curriculum. Within technology, a student can become an experienced computer programmer, computer specialist, graphic designer or study within network management. In health care, dental assistant, medical assistant and veterinary technician training is available. To obtain a medical assistant diploma, a student only needs to attend classes for 10 months.
International Business College also has a full array of career services such as counseling, placement, and financial aid planning. The college does help students prepare for interviews, polish resumes and any other necessary steps in the preparation for career employment. The college does offer housing within a close proximity to the campus. Financial aid is available to those who qualify and a student can also pick up an annual scholarship to attend.
The most traditional route into International Business College is to come straight from high school or just after passing the GED but it is not required. A student can take an entrance test and go through advising sessions to see if they have the qualifications to attend IBC to be an office support specialist. This entrance test includes both an English and Math section that must be passed. Individuals are allowed retakes of the test. IBC is a great way to get hands-on training in the business, health care and technology sectors while quickly earning the sought-after degree or diploma. |
