Better Business Credit Bureau

The Better Business Credit Bureau started in the year 1912 as a major regulatory corporation with multiple local branches that are located all over the United States and Canada. They collaborate with the Council of Better Business Bureaus to cultivate a very effectual and fair business place so that the relationship between buyers and sellers can be trustworthy, ethical and efficient.

The main responsibilities of the Better Business Credit Bureau is to collect and give accounts on businesses dependability, to report to the public fraudulent practices against consumers and other businesses, and to supply information on business ethics and to act as mediators between the consumers and businesses to resolve conflict.

Between the periods of 1906 and 1933, other major organizations began to take control of the business market by insisting on strict business ethics between consumer and business affairs as well as properly executing truthful advertising.

The "Ten Commandments of Advertising" was one of the first codes of ethics adopted by private businesses and advertising corporations to ensure trustworthy consumer relations and effectual public marketing.

In the year 1970 the Better Business Bureau was established over the decades by the merging of three organizations: The National Better Business Commission, The Associated Advertising Clubs of the World, and The National Association of Better Business Bureaus.

All of the local Better Business Bureau organizations have their own director's panel but they must abide by international guidelines regulated by the Better Business Bureau, which are strictly overseen and imposed by the Council of Better Business Bureau on a consistent basis.

The council is made up of leaders of the local sectors, top executives from major corporations, and by community professionals like scholars and legal counselors.

Since 1970, the Better Business Bureau has remained a mediator and informant between consumers and businesses in order to continue strict regulations on ethics, advertising and fair business practices.

You may have noticed that the media will often give out many reports on fraudulent consumer and business issues. That is because the Better Business Bureau is highly efficient in giving these reports to them for the sake of informing the public of abuses within the market.

Therefore, we can most certainly be grateful that there is an organization out there like that of The Better Business Bureau that keeps up on regulating businesses, giving instructive reports on abuses and scams, and that acts as a catalyst between consumers and the business establishment.
