Credit cards for people with no credit history may have a few more requirements on their applications than other credit card applications due, simply due to the risk the credit card company is taking in offering the card to the consumer. The consumer will certainly have to have a job and a checking or savings account, and may be required to have someone willing to co-sign the application as a sign of stability (and to serve as a guarantor, should the card holder prove to be unable to make payments).
