Trw Credit Report Free

Credit reporting agencies are organizations that collect a consumer's information and activity concerning personal credit accounts. Keeping up with personal credit information is a very important step in preventing or stopping unwanted credit issues; such as identity theft, fraudulent activity, and outstanding past credit issues. Currently there are three main credit reporting agencies: Experian, Equifax, and Transunion. The information collected by these agencies directly refers to a consumer's activity with car loans, credit cards - visa, MasterCard, discover and American express, gas cards, bank accounts, mortgages, lines of credit, and department store credit cards. TRW is a credit reporting agency, TRW is now known as Experian. Credit reports should not be paid for by anyone; to receive a credit report should be free and is offered for free by the federal government. Currently there are some other basic methods to obtaining a free credit report, and they are: go to the website annualcreditreport.com; here a free yearly credit report can be sought. Everyone is entitled. Also, getting a report from freeannualcreditreport.com is the best option because by federal law all people are due a yearly free credit report from all three reporting agencies. Another way of obtaining a free credit report is by applying for a credit item; a car loan, credit card, or a personal loan. If there is a negative response or a turn down, send the company a letter inquiring as to why the submitted application was turned down, the answer will come via a free copy of a current credit report. Another way to get a free credit report is by contacting any of the credit reporting agencies and disputing an entry listed on a previous credit report. The agency has to respond to the dispute and send an updated credit report. Disputing a negative credit issue can be done on line at any of the websites for the credit reporting agencies. Unfortunately TRW/Experian does not offer a completely free credit report but it does offer a 7 day free trial of their credit reporting services. The fee for TRW/Experian's monthly service starts at $14.99 per month.
