There are lots of finance degree jobs available in the market and you can get one of them provided you have the desired skills for the job. The following are some of the jobs available:
Entry level jobs: These are jobs for which a basic level degree would be required without any previous work experience.
1. Accounts manager: These executives are responsible for managing the accounts of a particular company if it is a small company. If the person is working as an accounts manager in a bigger company, then he would be handling the accounts of a particular department or team.
2. Insurance broker: These are people working in an insurance company as sales executives. Their job is to sell insurance products to common people and their salary and incentives are dependent upon the number of insurance product sales they make.
3. Stock broker: This person is responsible for the selling and buying of the shares in the capital market. He receives a fixed commission on buying and selling each share.
4. Auditor: This person is basically a specialist in accounts especially a Chartered Accountant. His job would be to go through the books of accounts and look for errors and mistakes.
5. Financial analyst: They work in corporate finance and cash management portfolios and are usually very strong at math and finance.
6. Budget analyst: This person is responsible for estimating the budget requirements for the future activities and operations of the company. There are a lot of other guys who would be working along with him on this.
7. Underwriter: The underwriter goes through the documents of a particular individual or company seeking a loan to check his financial capabilities, credit history, etc. to decide whether his loan application should be sanctioned or not.
The following are some of the high level finance jobs and one has to have an advanced degree from a premier institution along with some work experience to get these jobs.
1. Branch manager: This person manages an entire branch of an organization and is accountable and responsible for whatever happens within that branch. There are generally many workers reporting to him including several junior level mangers.
2. Chief Executive Officer: The CEO, as often called, is responsible for the operations and functioning of every department in an office. He is the one who sets out the business strategies and reports to the President of the company. One has to be very analytical and a lateral thinking person to become a successful CEO. |
