Pension can be defined as an agreement to give people with an income when they are no longer earning a regular income from service. As of now, U.S. is the largest market for pension fund investments followed by UK.

There is no fund which can be called as best pension fund, this is because every pension funds have to be reviewed from time to time to make sure that the funds are in the best dynamic sectors for investment. If it gives the best return, then they are the best pension funds.

Investing in pension funds usually starts from the mid-age onwards. Money can be invested either in lump sum, or in periodic intervals to get a higher and best return. When asset performance is considered in US dollar terms, Taiwan pension funds has the highest growth with 14.3 percent per annum, followed by Australia with 13 percent. U.S. is always remains the country with the biggest market share of pension fund assets with almost 43 percent.

Pension providers recommend a range of funds for the pension to invest in and normally consist of in-house funds with external options. Some pension funds have many funds to choose from while others curtail the amount of choice.

Best pension funds are managed funds which are invested in a range of assets likely to be more popular as these funds present with less risk when compared to specialist sectors; however the specialist sectors always have the chances of reaping some good returns while having great risk too.

A personal pension is perhaps a good option for persons who would like to invest in a pension with more choices of funds than a stakeholder pension.
