Mutual Fund Information

Most people who invest in mutual funds have a mutual fund information source. There are mutual fund information sources, such as the Coalition of Mutual Fund Investors (CMFI) that help keep investors informed of disclosure issues, and to protect their rights as investors. The CMFI provides protection to investors that could be harmed by market timing and other issues. The Coalition of Mutual Fund Investors will address Congress when necessary and other government agencies to protect the rights of investors.

Another source of mutual fund information is the Fund Alarm. Fund Alarm is a free website that you, as an investor, can come to when you can't decide if you should keep your mutual fund or sell it. Fund Alarm will expose mutual funds that are underperforming, and label them as 3-alarm funds. If you have a mutual fund that is labeled as a 3-alarm fund, you might want to sell it to keep from losing any more money with that particular investment.

Forbes Magazine is another good source of mutual fund information. If you read Forbes Magazine regularly you may be able to compare different mutual funds and decide which is best to invest in, or best to sell and get rid of. You may also be able to keep up with future forecasts in the stock market, which is essential with many types of mutual funds. This magazine may also be able to give you an idea of what your risk/reward ratio might be with certain investments. To be a successful investor you will need to have an idea of what your odds are of a good financial return; Forbes magazine can be one venue for good mutual fund information.

Market Watch is affiliated with the Wall Street Journal; this is a great tool to keep up with what is going on all around the world in financial news. Market Watch is a very useful source of mutual fund information. You will be able to keep up with the latest trends in trading.

The Virtual Stock Exchange is another valuable resource for mutual fund information. This is not a real place to do trading, but it is a game based on the real stock market. You can learn a lot about trading mutual funds and stocks by engaging in this stock exchange simulator. The VSE might be one of the best places to visit if you have never invested in mutual funds or the stock market before.
