Across The Board - Across the board is a stock market action, or movement, that affects most or all of the stocks on the board in the same way. Therefore, if an ?Across the Board? occurs, the majority, or all, the stocks on the stock market will either go up or go down. It is similar to when you are watching television and suddenly all the people in a crowd stand up and start to do ?the wave? - it is affecting them all the same was, as they are all doing this same thing, at the same time, only they are swaying left and right, as opposed to up and down.
