What is Christian Funding?
Are you looking for a grant, loan, or program that will provide additional funding to your coffers? If the answer to that is yes, this article is for you. There are many ways to obtain additional funding to meet your needs whether they are to deepen and enrich your religious live, to support, recruit, or educate others, to encourage reflection or study, to support scholar and educators, to restructure or renovate.
Some of the sources where you may find assistance include the government, not-for-profit organizations, service clubs, special interest groups, program grants, loans, and membership.
Depending on the reason, the funding is being requested will depend on the group that is approached to obtain the funding from.
Many government agencies and human-interest departments now offer lower interest rate loans and grants to special interest groups, and will often provide a counsellor to assist the group with filling out the necessary forms and applications.
Only one department generally handles grants and applications these days, and they are very specific as to what is required to obtain funding from them. If your group plans to apply for funding, they would be well advised to read the specifics of the program very carefully. Today, most application forms are downloadable pdf's from the government's website.
There are several other avenues for funding available as well, although some are harder to find then others. Usually, talking to others in organizations similar to yours will net you new contacts and new funding information; after all, we all have to help each other, if we plan to succeed!
The other groups who offer funding are the private philanthropic organizations and foundations. These organizations and foundations usually have a mandate that requires they donate so much money each year, so they are well worth looking into when you require additional funding.
To find funding for your organization or group, a quick internet search for the government's departmental list will bring up programs that offer funding to a variety of groups and organizations.
