Financial industry regulatory Authority FINRA - Is self-regulatory organization that was founded in 2007 by a merger between the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and the New York Stock Exchange Regulation Incorporated. In which took on all responsibilities that were previously handled by the NASD. The company is responsible for the operation and regulations of the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations stock market and all of the over-the-counter markets. FINRA investigates complaints against members of various firms and tries to ensure that all of its members are adhering to both its own standards and those laid out by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The FINRA is run by a board of members that takes half of the members from the securities industry and the other half come from the public.
