Free On Board – Free on board, or FOB, is a phrase that applies to shipping. It is here the shipper pays for any shipping costs. This often includes any possible insurance costs. Such costs will often cover the delivery from the manufacturer to a given point where buyer will take possession of goods. At that designated point the buyer becomes responsible for the goods. Such costs being paid for by the shipper is normally something where the shipper finds it in his or her best interests to exercise such an alternative. And it does cover possible problems during the deliver process.
