Fund Administration - The fund administration is the tasks and activities that are required to fun a hedge fund, a mutual fund, or any other type of investment that involves pooling of resources. Some of the examples one could include in fund administration might be the maintenance of the fund?s books, calculations for the performance of the fund, compiling and preparations of the fund?s financial statements, and fund asset management fees, as fund administration is not similar or the same as asset management. The fund manager is responsible for overseeing the fund?s investing strategy, as well as managing the trading activities that take place in the portfolio.
