Private Equity Fund This type of fund focuses on private equity when making an investment. The end goal is to gain control over the company that has been invested in and eventually to restructure the company. Once the company has been taken over, it is usually privatized in order for this restructuring to take place. Once the company is feasible again, it is re-listed on the market and the investors can begin making money on their investment. A private equity fund can be a risky investment because you never know how well a company will bounce back, but experienced businesspeople will usually do a pretty good job of restructuring.
