Pure No-Load Fund A mutual fund that does not
include a redemption charge or 12b-1 fee, so there is no cost whatsoever
to enter the fund. The beauty of this type of fund is that every penny
that you invest will actually be invested, as it will not be used to
cover all of these extra expenses that will often arise. The only drawback
is that you will often pay a significant commission. Therefore, while
there is no additional money being paid upfront, you will pay in the
end if your investment is successful because of the commission that
goes to your manager.
