Style Box
Term category: Mutual Funds
In 10 words or less:  A three-by-three box that shows a fund's style based on market cap and strategy.

Definition: The style box was created by Morningstar to plot all mutual funds on a three-by-three matrix.  On one axis is the strategy (value, blend, growth) and on the other axis is the size of typical investments (small, midcap, or large-cap)

Advice: This style box is interesting because you can quickly see what types of companies a fund invests in and what strategy it takes.
