Task Force

Task Force – TF’s are assigned, purposefully gathered group(s) of individuals (workgroup), a collective, temporarily collaborating , towards achievement of particular and clearly outlined objectives and measurable goals. Independent, with a mandate, resources, timetable and action plan, the crux is the single defined task or activity they are focused on and dedicated to. Also called task groups (previously/earlier ad hoc committees use to be called) A TF has a certain sense of autonomy; credibility and leadership, and are decision-making empowered. As a unit it is transferable, extremely mobile, flexible, and effective, optimizing and harnessing every and all members, individually and collectively, from a broad cross-section of people, it afford integration, synergy and leverage of unit skills-integration.  TF’s could come from entirely within a service, business, or organization, or joint task force, from multiple organizations and industries. It wraps up and disbands when job is done.
