Transfer Agent

Transfer agent- It is a person who is appointed the reasonability and duties to be carried out by a company or mutual fund to maintain a shareholders records they include purchases, sales or the account balance. Normally a transfer agent is a bank or a trust company. Many of the larger companies have there own transfer agent on staff.
