Whistle Blower

Whistle Blower - A whistleblower shares, exposes and comes forward with information (typically withheld and shocking), alleging some form of misconduct. A type of informant. Whether it surrounds reporting a swept-under-the-rug type problem or violation, improper conduct. There is protection offered for those who have the courage to step out and come forward under what is termed The Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001. Unsafe, unlawful disclosures are made (companies, employers, police, politicians, activists, government) Insiders who expose wrongdoing, illegal activities, going public with the information, hoping to stop it from happening any more or again. These people or groups are protected typically from discharge or discrimination. They are looking for justice to prevail.
