There are a lot of investment opportunities available today. Because of the need of people to safe keep their money and invest it in something profitable like stocks, businesses or even properties. Property investment is a very popular investment choice for quite some time now since properties increase its value as time passes by. Because of this, there are a lot of institutions or agencies that offer their help on deciding on this. Some even offer help on giving you tips on how to make your investment even more profitable. There conferences, seminars or even lectures being offered by these agencies to give you tips on how to profit through your investment. Some are too good to be true however, since these seminars are a profiteering business themselves. Some seminars will advertise themselves as experts on property investment.
Some will even post a million-dollar profit promise after a course of some years or sometimes even months! These seminars will also sometimes discourage you on investing on other areas and bad mouth these businesses. They call the competitor the "traditional" type of investment to probably convince people that it is already out of date, thus, will not profit well. Turning dreams into reality is a bit too poetic but has helped many of these seminars lure people into joining. Adjectives like "amazing", "fantastic", "unbelievable" and the likes can often be seen in posters, slogans and banners of these agencies. Since seminars are also a form of business, it could be that these promises are not true; hence, the consumers need to be more cautious. Sometimes, too good a promise delivers bad results.
These seminars profit because most, if not all, of these seminars require a joining fee or a registration fee. Though one may believe that he or she may profit in these seminars, it could be that what they will witness can be self-taught (just given the right materials). These seminars may be overpriced. Also, they may claim that the speakers are experienced people when the truth is that they are just actors portraying the role, thus performing a choreographed speech. Their claims can be misleading and can give you too high a hope to even think twice. Since some of the speakers may be fraudulent, they may influence you to take drastic steps that are not even slightly helpful to you. Aside from that, it could be promoting scams like a hierarchal scam wherein the top person benefits more than the other investors. |
