McDonald's Stock Pick

This month, we are profiling the largest fast-food franchise in the entire world - McDonald's! This company is incredibly large and it is also in the Young30 stock index.

McDonald's first began in 1955 when they opened their first fast-food restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois (not too far from where TeenAnalyst.com is located). Since 1955, McDonald's Corporation has constructed over 25,000 McDonald's restaurants in 116 different countries!Twenty-five thousand restaurants is quite a few and when you think of how many people they have served, you've got to wonder how much food a company like that goes through. Well, since 1955, McDonald's has sold well over 100 billion hamburgers. And, each day, McDonald's fast-food restaurants go through an estimated 6.8 million pounds of French fries in order to meet their customers' demands!

McDonald's is one of the 30 stocks in our Young30 stock index. We chose to include this stock because it is a company that kids, as well as adults, know a lot about. After all, what child has never eaten a Happy Meal in their entire life? With that in mind, we added the stock into the index at the price of $26.91.If you are interested in learning more about McDonald's, you can visit their website at www.mcdonalds.com for some more information.
