Stock Quotes Msn

MSN provides this definition of their stock quote service right at the top of their home page: An easy way to get a stock, fund, currency, index or ETF quote, plus information on key indicators, ratings, and news.

Their MSN Money Quote highlights are just as plainly expressed. 1) See quotes and price data. 2) Customize how you view key fundamental data and chart date range. 3) Get quick access to charts and key company information. 4) View and rate community-based ratings from CAPS. 5) View the latest StockScouter ratings. 6) Read company-related news. 7) View company-related video. 8) View financial highlights for the stock. 9) Post and read messages about the stock and investing.

There are many ways to get free stock quotes into Excel, including the use of the simple MSN Money Stock Quote add-in. It not only downloads historical stock quotes in Excel, but provides tools for analyzing the information, generates charts, and providing tons of technical analysis functions.

To find a stock quote on MSN, first sign in to the My MSN Website with your Windows Live ID, or open the My MSN Website without signing in. If you haven't already done so, add the Stock Quotes module. By default, the Stock Quotes module contains prices for major stock markets. You can also do any of the following: add a stock price, remove a stock price, and change the order of your stock prices.

The MSN Quote Watchlist lets you easily track quote information on the MSN Money home page or on the MSN Money Investing home page. With the Quote Watchlist, you can track any stock or investment that has a ticker symbol on any one of the major stock exchanges. You can also track the value for a specific number of shares for a stock or an investment.

You can easily add or remove stocks and investments from the list of tracked quotes. When you add a symbol to the Quote Watchlist, the symbol is added to your list of tracked quotes in the upper pane, under Your Watchlist. The source of MSN Money's quotes is from S&P Comstock, an Internet provider of market information. All data is delayed 20 minutes unless noted. Information is believed accurate, but is not warranted or guaranteed by Microsoft or S&P Comstock, Inc.
