Young Investor Stocks

TeenAnalyst.com started out as a print newsletter in 1999.  To go along with an article that we did about stock indexes in the second issue of the newsletter, we decided to create our own stock index, the Young30.

The Young30 is made up of 30 stocks that affect the lives of young investors. These companies may range from clothing companies to investing companies that teens.

In order to keep from promoting bad habits, companies that sell alcohol, tobacco, or any other similar products will not be allowed in the Young30.

The stock index will begin at 10,000 points and each month we will provide information on how the index is doing and we will profile a company that is in the Young30, which will help the readers learn more about business.

For the most part, it's our goal to leave the index relatively unchanged during this time period.  However, in the past, we've found the need to make a few small changes to the index (due to stock splits, mergers, etc.)  Occasionally--although not often--we may take a stock out and replace it with a new one.  But it'll always stick to the same idea: an index full of stocks teens know about.

Please remember that these aren't stock picks.  We in no way endorse these as companies you should necessarily invest in.  Always do your own research and we hope you enjoy following the Young30!
