if you live in Canada and you need help filing your federal income taxes then you have a few different options.

The Canadian federal taxes are controlled by the Canadian Revenue Service or CRS. This system is set up much like the Internal Revenue Service in the United States is. Just about everything is the same except the address.

A reliable source is something like s site put out by the government or something that has been reference checked to ensure accuracy. Sites that use government sites as their source are also reputable as long as they cite back to where they got the information from. Some regular website that are put out by average Joes are usually pretty accurate but since your taxes are so important don't leave anything to chance.

Another place to find help for Canadian income taxes is to contact a tax professional in Canada. Some people do not like the ideas of tax professional as they usually charge for their services however they are a wealth of information as long as your don't mind spending a few bucks. To make sure that your taxes are filed properly the minimal amount of money that you will spend will be worth it.

Ovserall there are several places to get information regarding income taxes in Canada. If all else fails go to your local library and find yourself a tax book. There are many available and they are generally very easy to find. Look for information where you are most comfortable looking. Just make sure that your source is reputable.
