Il Tax Form

The tax forms that you need to fill out in the state of Illinois are the same that you need to fill out for the rest of the United States. Since most of the tax forms you fill out are federal they do not change depending on which state you live in, but since there are certain taxes that you will have to file for that are state specific.

In the state of Illinois their income tax is calculated differently. To calculate your income tax if you live in Illinois you calculate your net income by three percent. That three percent is a flat rate, it does not change depending on how much you make that year.

Your property taxes in Illinois is the largest tax that any Illinois state residents will pay. Their property tax is the largest source of tax revenue for the state of Illinois. The tax is actually a local, not state tax. This tax is put on by local governments such as counties, towns, school districts, and municipalities. These taxes are only imposed on real property and the taxes change from local area to area.

You pay your income taxes in Illinois as much as you do in any other sates as income taxes are Federal and not state. You will contact the Internal Revenue Service to find out chick kind of tax form that you will need to file. Once you know that information you will simply fill out the tax form and return it to the IRS. Depending on what you will make in the year it will determine if you pay more taxes to the Internal Revenue Service or if the Internal Revenue Service will pay you a refund due to you overpaying.

The state taxes specific to Illinois will be handled on a state level. They will have their own forms that you need to fill out and you will send your payment directly to the state or local group that your payment needs to go to.

If you still have questions regarding taxes in the state of Illinois you should contact your local government office or you can call the Internal Revenue Service to find out how Illinois local taxes will affect you and your federal return. YOur local library will also have a ton of information regarding local taxes if you need help.
