Tax Forms Internal Revenue Service

There are many different tax forms of the Internal Revenue service and the forms you have to choose will depend on the type of your tax returns. You will have to get them in advance as there is an increased demand and short supply when the tax filing date approaches. The printed copies can get exhausted and the IRS website can get a lot of traffic, making the download of tax forms very difficult. So always get your tax forms much before the deadline and there are various ways to get them.

You can request the Internal Revenue Service to send the tax forms to you through the mail. You need to place your request by calling 1-800-829-3676, and the forms will be delivered by the US postal service in about a week or two. You can also order them online at the IRS forms and publications website and you will get a delivery of sets of two copies of each form you have ordered, along with the filling up instructions.

You can also download the required tax forms from the Internal Revenue Service website. On the site, there will be an index of all the forms that are available and you need to choose the ones required and follow the instructions given for downloading and printing. The index will also provide you with certain guidelines as to which forms you will need for filing your returns. If you do not have a printer you can get access to a computer and printer at a local public library.

You can also personally collect tax forms of the Internal Revenue Service from public libraries and post offices. These offices get their supply of tax forms in the middle of January and are gone very fast. So make it a point to collect them as soon as they arrive.

The Internal Revenue Service will automatically mail you the same type of tax forms you had submitted last year. These will usually arrive in January, but if you have changed your address there is a good chance they will not be forwarded on time, and you will have to make some other arrangements.

If you need multiple tax forms and other publications of the Internal Revenue Service you can order their tax package on a CD. The cost is about $30, to get it delivered to your address. Some people like to delegate the tedious work of tax form filling to companies who offer these services. Getting this service you are assured of timely and correct filing of your tax forms with the Internal Revenue Service.
