   If you looked at all the companies in America and tried to make a list of the 10 most amazing ones, you'd probably include some names like Microsoft, AT&T, and General Electric but you might overlook a name that has been around for over 100 years...Walgreens.

   Most people overlook Walgreens and don't think that the company has done much but they couldn't be more wrong. Founded in 1901 and measuring just 1000 square feet, the first Walgreens drugstore set the standard of comparison in the drugstore industry. Since then, the company has been opening 500 stores each year and plans to open its 6,000th store in 2010.

   Aside from being a fast-growing company, the stock has gained a reupation as a "good long-term investment". In fact, if you took a look back over the last 15 years, the stock has gone up 2,550%.

   The Young30 stock index seeks to include stocks of companies that kids know about. We decided to include Walgreens because even the heathiest people get sick sometimes and Walgreens is one of the places we turn to have our prescriptions filled.
